The unit has a carrier (1) of stable insulating material, such as polycarbonate, which is formed with a hole (2) for the electrical cable (6) and slots (3-5) for flat blade plug connectors (7-9). The blades are inserted such that they project beyond the underside and such that the latching features are engaged to ensure retention. The same approach may be used with circular section pins. The main cable section has a sealing sleeve (14), e.g. of PVC, that presses into the central aperture. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple form for protecting against axial load.
