PURPOSE: To provide a circuit device for monitoring a cover member being driven through an electric motor in order to prevent catching surely at the time of closing an opening, e.g. side window or sunroof of an automobile, in which catching is prevented surely even when the cover member closes a small residual opening. CONSTITUTION: The inventive monitoring circuit device comprises a position transmitter 23 for catching and detecting the instantaneous position of a cover member, and an inspection logic unit 24 being triggered at the time of starting a closing process. The inspection logic unit 24 compares the instantaneous position of the cover member with a stored value (s) characteristic of residual opening and performs an opening process by a limited amount prior to closing process when occasion demands. |
