<p>PURPOSE:To release the restriction of a using environment and to improve operability by receiving a positional pulse originated with a pen type input device on the plural positions of an input device body and calculating distances between the pen type input device and the plural receiving positions. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 11 on the pen type input device is depressed, a control circuit 18 allows an origination pulse generator 15 to form an initial pulse signal, originates the signal from a pulse origination receiver 10, and at the time of receiving a detection pulse originated from the input device body, checks the states of clock switches 12, 13, and allows the generator 15 to generate positional pulses corresponding to the states and originates the generated pulses. At the time of receiving the positional pulses with pulse origination receivers 20, 21 on the input device body side, detecting circuits 24, 27 detect the pulses through amplifiers 23, 26, a control circuit 28 stops counters 30, 31 by using the rise of main pulses included in respective positional pulses as triggers, an arithmetic circuit 32 calculates the positional coordinates of the pen type input device, a mouse pulse converter 33 converts the positional coordinates into pulse information, and a connector 36 sends the pulse information to a personal computer.</p> |
