This method finds application for obtaining crystalline nickel sulphate in the chemical industry. It is performed to produce a high-purity final product by a simplified process. The method involves subjecting nickel and nickel alloys to electrochemical dissolving at electrolyte pH values below 1.5 until an oversaturation of the solution with nickel sulphate is reached accompanied by a simultaneous crystallization of the latter and dissolving further portions of nickel.
