<p>A rapid fixing soln. for photosensitive AgCl materials supported by anodised aluminium comprises ammonium thiosulphate (I) and thiocyanate (II) with a buffer. The concn. of (I) >0.5 mole/l. and the molar ratio of (I) : (II) varies from 1:05 - 10. Fixing time is reduced to 5-10 secs. and the image density and the Al support are both unaffected by extended immersion in the soln.</p> |
