The device includes a timing control circuit whose output is used to operate an electromagnetic relay (1,2), determining the time for which it is excited. The input to the circuit is connected to the accessory output of the vehicle alarm system. The action of putting the alarm into its armed state acts on one of the two relays in order to lock the doors. Similarly turning off the alarm activates the other relay in order to unlock the doors.
