PURPOSE:To easily play chord sounds with diverse musical expression by generating the chord sounds relating to chord specification in various sound generation mode corresponding to the kind of a string whose string operation is detected first when it is decided that the chord specification is correct. CONSTITUTION:A string trigger switch group 10 detects the start and end of vibrations of respective strings. A fret switch group 40 consists of plural fret switches provided on a finger board and a switch status detection part 50 stores their depression states. A microcomputer 30 compares the output of the switch status detection part 50 with various chords stored in a chord table memory 65 and when it is judged through the fret switch group 40 that a correct chord is pressed, a sound source circuit 70 is so controlled as to generate the respective constituent sounds of the chord, pressed on the fret switch group 40, at output timing corresponding to the strings which begin to vibrate once a vibration start signal is supplied from a string trigger switch group NO through a latch circuit 20. |
