PURPOSE:To provide a fuel electrode material manufacturing method capable of simplifying a manufacturing process, reducing the ingress of impurities at the manufacturing process, and enabling a fuel electrode having long-term high stability to be provided via the reduction of a polarization value as an electrode material, when applied to a solid electrolyte fuel cell. CONSTITUTION:One liter of 0.25mol/either aqueous solution of nickel acetate 4-hydrate is prepared, and sol (20wt% sol) of 8mol% of Y2O3 stabilized ZrO2 (8YSZ) is added and mixed therewith, so that the mole ratio of Ni/8YSZ is 68/32. This mixture is heat-treated at 750 deg.C by a dropping thermal cracking method and, then, roughly cracked, thereby obtaining the powder of a fuel electrode material. Thereafter, this powder is placed in an alumina crucible and calcined at 1000 deg.C in an electric furnace for 24 hours. After this process, the powder is roughly crushed, thereby obtaining the powder of a fuel electrode material. |
