The equipment comprises a housing (10) at least partly of transparent material and open at one side, a sealing lip (12) extending round the opening. Two or more glove-supports (14) protrude into the housing, which contains a union (16), connected to a vacuum source, for a freely-movable suction hose. Adhesive plates (18) are mounted at the four corners of the housing, securing it to the surface being repaired. A union can also be provided in the housing for a hose supplying a pneumatic tool. USE/ADVANTAGE - Extracts contaminated material, e.g. asbestos, from joints in brickwork etc. No environmental contamination, and delivers all material for special processing.
