An agitator blade (20) is mounted on the drive shaft (17) for agitating the toner in the container base body (11). The agitator is rotated from outside the container across a knob (21). A cap (12) is provided with an opening section, which corresponds with the opening section (23) of the toner outlet opening. The cap which makes sliding contact with the toner opening, is movable in such a way, that the opening section (23) of the toner outlet opening is selectively opened or closed. The opening section can be coupled with a toner filling opening of a toner silo of the developing station. USE/ADVANTAGE - Photo copier, laser printers or similar. Closing and opening of toner container and filling of toner can be carried out in simple manner without scattering toner over appliance main body or over user.
