The compressor measuring system uses the detected difference in the force delivered by the drive motor (2) for the compressor (4) immediately after coupling it to the compressor via a magnetic coupling (5). The detected difference is compared with a reference value to verify that it is greater than the latter. Pref. the variation in the motor rotation upon the coupling being operated is detected, for comparison with a reference value, to rectify that the detected value is below the latter. USE/ADVANTAGE - For vehicle air-conditioning unit preventing damage by preventing running without refrigerant compression.
