<p>PURPOSE:To inhibit deposition of elemental sulfur and to prevent deterioration of deodorization efficiency by adding an alkali agent to the circulating water of a packing type biological deodorization tower, neutralizing accumulated sulfuric acid and also controlling the concentration of inorganic salt produced by the alkali and sulfuric acid. CONSTITUTION:When odorous gas is introduced into a first, second and third packing type biological deodorization towers 11-13, the odorous components of odorous gas are decomposed by microorganisms. sulfuric acid is formed and accumulated in a packing layer 14. Water is intermittently sprayed in order to wash and remove the sulfuric acid. Removed sulfuric acid flows out to the outsides of the first and second packing type biological deodorization towers 11, 12 together with drainage in the towers 11, 12. Since the concentration of sulfuric acid in the circulating water is gradually increased in the third tower 13, alkali such as sodium hydroxide is introduced from the introduction pipe 17 of chemicals to neutralize sulfate ions. Make-up water for dilution is supplied so that the concentration of inorganic salt produced as a result is regulated to 1-14%.</p> |
