PURPOSE:To enhance developed color density, sharpness and various fastnesses, especially, light fastness by constituting a magenta dye contained in the paint support layer formed on one surface of a base sheet of a mixture of an anthraquinone dye having a specific structure and a polymethine dye having a specific structure. CONSTITUTION:A thermal transfer sheet consists of a base sheet and the dye support layer formed on one surface thereof and the magenta dye contained in the dye support layer is constituted of a mixture of an anthraquinone dye represented by each of formulae I-IV (wherein X and Y are S, O or SO2, R1-R3 are a substituted or nonsubstituted alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group or an alkyl group and R5 is a halogen atom or a cyano group) and a polymethine dye represented by formula V (wherein R5 and R6 are a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, R7 is a substituted or non-substituted aryl group, R8 is a substituted or non-substituted alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group or NR9R1 and R9 and R10 are a substituted or non-substituted alkylcarbonyl group). |
