PURPOSE: To provide a horizontal deflecting circuit which doesn't require replacement of a capacitor or use of an additional capacitor for correction of an S- shaped distortion. CONSTITUTION: In the horizontal deflecting circuit of a television picture display device provided with a capacitor which is arranged in series to a horizontal deflecting coil 1 and corrects a tangent error due to an S-shaped distortion of a deflecting current, this capacitor consists of a series circuit of two sub- capacitors 4 and 5 whose capacitance coincides with the capacitance of this capacitor. A least, the capacitor 5 which is not directly connected to the horizontal deflecting coil 1 has a dielectric constant dependent upon a DC voltage, and the mutual connection point between two sub-capacitors 4 and 5 has a variable DC voltage. |
