The collector consists of a reservoir (21) for the used oil, surmounted by a hatch (2) into which the oil is poured, and a holder (20) for used cans. The hatch has an inlet trough (12) sloping down towards the front and equipped with a non-return valve (15) in its neck (14). The trough is extended towards the rear by an intermediate panel (11) which slopes down slightly towards the front and has a vent which allows air to escape from the reservoir while it is being filled, balancing its inner pressure with the atmospheric pressure outside. The intermediate panel has a float gauge (22) which allows the oil level in the reservoir to be measured, and the trough has two sloping side panels to guide the oil into the reservoir. In the event of the collector being turned over, the valve and vent close to prevent oil from escaping. USE/ADVANTAGE - Collecting used mineral oil with reduced risk of spillage and consequent pollution.
