PURPOSE:To surely eliminate the ringing by connecting a ringing elimination control element in parallel to at least one of paired ringing eliminating coils which are connected to a deflecting coil. CONSTITUTION:A ringing eliminating coil 2a is connected to a terminal (a) of a horizontal deflecting coil 1a, and a ringing eliminating coil 2b and a variable resistance 2c serving as a ringing elimination control element are connected to the other terminal (b) of the coil 1a in parallel. Then the resistance 2c is controlled so that La¦ia¦=Lb¦ib¦ is satisfied when the inductances of both coils 2a and 2b are referred to as La and Lbs respectively. As a result, the ringing eliminating functions of both coils 2a and 2b are extremely improved and the ringing can be surely eliminated. The resistance 2c is controlled with reference given to the screen of a picture tube or given to the current value or the waveform and after confirmation of erasure of the vertical or horizontal stripes caused by the ringing. |
