<p>PURPOSE:To instantaneously interrupt the abnormal machine from a conductive line by a method wherein a resistance element, which is formed by compounding conductive carbon, polyolefin and a polymer such as fluororesin and the like, is series-connected between the output contact point of the driving circuit for output of each machine and a conductive line. CONSTITUTION:In a LAN protective device provided with a common transmission line 1 and a plurality of terminals and apparatuses to be connected to the common transmission line 1, a resistor element 3, which is formed by compounding conductive carbon and a polymer such as polyolefin, fluororesin and the like, is series-connected between the output part, provided on each terminal and apparatus, and the common transmission line 1. In this device, when an excessive current is allowed to flow on the resistance element 3, Joule's heat is generated, intercarbon bond is cut, and high resistance characteristics can be obtained. As a result, the flow of an excessive current on the abnormality-ocurred terminal and the transmission line is interrupted instantaneously, and the damage inflicting on the other terminal terminal and the like can be prevented.</p> |
