<p>PURPOSE:To realize an electron beam generating device never loosening electron beam generating characteristic by forming a stripe support member in cathode laying direction by means of frame coating as the vibration preventing structure of a linear cathode. CONSTITUTION:A back plate 3 is curved in a protruding form, a support member 2 is formed thereon, and a linear cathode 1 is pushed onto and laid along it. Since the linear cathode 1 is in contact with the support member 2 curved in protruding form, its vibration is effectively prevented. Since the support member 2 has a stripe form, it can be easily formed by flame coating. Further, a desired electric resistance can be provided, for example, by forming a film by mixing an insulating material with a conductive material at a free ratio, and the characteristic at the time of taking out electron beams from the linear cathode can be stabilized.</p> |
