The invention concerns an self blow-out switch having a compression device and in which a pressure chamber heated by electric-arc energy is connected to a compression space, optionally with valve control. The compression space is connected to the low-pressure space via a pressure-relief valve and a refill valve. The invention calls for the two valve discs of the valves, which are located between the compression space (8) and the low-pressure space (10), to be designed as two concentric washers (12, 13) of different dimensions, lying in direct contact with each other and partly overlapping each other, and integrated to form a single valve unit.
