摘要 The method produces over-lengths of optical fibres (LW1-LWn) with regard to the metallic sheath (MU) which encloses the fibres within an optical re-alignment cable (OC). The metallic sheath becomes shortened. The metallic sheath is compressed in an area (SB) along its axial transport direction (TD1). The metallic sheath is plastically shortened in such a way that the optical fibres come to lie with a defined over-length in the compressed metallic sheath (MUS). ADVANTAGE - Produces pre-definable over-lengths of optical fibres w.r.t. enclosing metallic sheath in reliable and precise way without affecting surface of sheath.
