The machine is coupled to an adjusting ram with a chamber connected to a setting-pressure pipe, its piston being moved by the setting pressure from the initial to the end position. A regulator valve is moved by a pressure proportional to that in the main pipe in opposition to a back-pressure and a control pressure, to adjust the pressure in the ram. The control-pressure pipe(17) is connected to the ram (6) whose piston(8), when in an intermediate position, connects it to the setting-pressure pipe(16). ADVANTAGE - Delivers increased output against higher resistance without altering speed.
