A concentrated food product is provided in the form of an encapsulated suspension of powdered starch in an oil formulation comprising an oil, a mixture of fats, and an emulsifier. The oil formulation may be flavoured for particular applications. The product is used by dissolving it in a hot liquid to make a sauce. This product is manufactured by carefully mixing the oil formulation ingredients in a prescribed manner prior to encapsulation. |
