<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium extremely difficult in unjust use by providing a magnetically detectable magnetic bar code and an infrared bar code detectable by infrared rays on a substrate within a predetermined region. CONSTITUTION:A strip like magnetic layer 3 is provided to the arbitrary place of a substrate 2 and a magnetic bar code 6 consisting of a regular pattern 4 and a dummy bar pattern 5 and an infrared bar code 7 are provided to the strip like part at other part of the substrate. A bar code concealing layer 8 not substantially absorbing infrared rays is provided to the marginal part of the magnetic layer and a protective layer 9 is provided to the entire surface of the layer 8 to constitute a magnetic recording medium 1. As the substrate 2, there are fine paper, synthetic paper and a synthetic resin film and the magnetic layer 3 is formed by applying or printing paint prepared by uniformly dispersing a magnetic material such as magnesium ferrite or iron oxide in a binder such as a polyester resin on the substrate 2. The bar code concealing layer 8 is formed by printing or applying paint containing pigment or a dye not substantially absorbing infrared rays.</p> |
