PURPOSE:To prevent the heat fusion of a thermal image receiving layer and the thermal transfer layer of a thermal transfer sheet at the time of thermal transfer by successively laminating a receiving layer based on a dyeing resin and a curable silicone-containing release layer on a base material. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer for a receiving layer based on a dyeing resin is applied to a base material 2 and dried to form the receiving layer 3. Subsequently, a coating solution for forming a release layer containing curable silicone is applied on the receiving layer 3 and dried to form the release layer 4 to produce a thermal image receiving sheet. As a resin constituting the receiving layer 3, for example, a polyester resin, a polycarbonate resin or a polyurethane resin can be designated and the thickness of the release layer 4 is pref. 0.01-5mum. more pref. 0.05-2mum. As the base material 2, condenser paper, glassine paper, parchment paper, paper having a high sizing degree or a flexible thin sheet such as a plastic film can be designated. |
