The ski has a lower semi-envelope, formed by its lateral edges (7), sole (8) and lower reinforcing (9), and an upper semi-envelope (10), formed by its upper decorative surface (5), and its upper and lateral reinforcing. These define a compartment (11) into which expanded synthetic foam material (12) is injected. A sheath (14), made of waterproof elastic material which is thermo-retractable, is wound in a spiral round an internal reinforcing tube (13). The coils partially overlap and are also wound round the reinforcing and shock absorbing parts of the ski. It is then placed in the compartment and the foam is injected into it.
