PURPOSE:To couple a photosemiconductor element with an optical fiber stably with high efficiency and to improve the reliability of airtight sealing by arranging an optical fiber outside a lens which seals airtightly a container containing a photosemiconductor element and putting this body in the 2nd container. CONSTITUTION:A light guide-out hole 5 is bored in the side wall 6 of the 1st container 8 and the converging rod lens 7 is fixed by fusion, and a cap 13 is seam-welded to the top surface to maintain airtightness. Output light which is led out of the 1st container 8 through the converging rod lens 7 is coupled with the optical fiber 9 and after the coupling between the output light and optical fiber 9 is adjusted to the best state, a capillary 17 is spot-welded to the side wall 6 of the 1st container 8 through a metallic sleeve 18 and then fixed. The 1st container 8 is welded to the 2nd container 11 through a temperature control member made of a Peltier element 19 by using low-fusion-point solder and the optical fiber 9 is led out of the 2nd container 11 through the side wall. The nylon part of an optical fiber clad wire 10 is adhered and fixed to a ceramic pipe 20. |
