The ladder consists of several sections sliding telescopically one inside another. Adjacent sections of the ladder are guided relative to each other by rollers (12) fixed to the outer side of the side member of one section. These rollers (12) run on a rail (11) projecting inwards from the outer side of the side member of the adjoining section. The sizes of the tubes (6,10) are selected to suit the bending loads imposed on the section of the ladder in which the tubes are incorporated. The outer tube (6) of each side member is arranged with its diagonal parallel to the rungs (8) which connect the side members. USE/ADVANTAGE - Extensible ladder with roller guides.
