The piston lubrication feed for a double acting piston in an IC engine has a vertical guide channel in the piston rod, with the channel connected to a lubrication oil source and an oil pump. The guide channel in the piston rod (8) is extended to the piston wall (3) and is connected to a spiralled channel (5) inside the piston wall. These channels are regularly spaced and open at the piston outer wall (4) with lubricating slots (7). The channels have a return loop for excess oil inside the piston wall, under the piston base and along the piston rod. ADVANTAGE - Lubricant supply and return, even distribution independent of piston dimensions.
