<p>A digital disk changing apparatus containing a plurality of disks held vertically in place within slots, said slots radiating from a central point and forming a toroidal magazine around a player/recorder means embodied in the form of a telescopic arm and wherein said arm is mounted in such a way as to be able to translate around a vertical axis situated at the center of the magazine and positionable in alignment with any one of the plurality of disks so that said telescopic arm can reach out onto the disk, spin said disk by applying force at said disk's rotational axis and then read or record from and onto said disk while said disk remains in its slot.</p> |
