In a process for filling a container for transporting plastic flock, the flock is sucked from a prodn. area (1) to a blower (2) via a tube (4). The blower (2) then delivers the flock via a pressure resistqnt tube (5) to a container (3) for transport. Filling of the container (3) is realized in two or more stages. The filling occurs via a tube connected to the pressure tube (5). The filling tube may comprise several sections which progressively produce successive piles of flock with different surface profiles until the container is filled. Filling appts. is also claimed and includes a filling tube and an air vent in the front wall of the container (3). USE/ADVANTAGE - Used to fill a container for transporting flock from manufacturer to customer. Eliminates use of large volume sacks which is expensive and requires recycling of sack material.
