<p>A separable slide fastener (10) comprises a pair of opposed stringers (11, 12) each carrying along one of their longitudinal edges a row of coupling elements (E) in a meandering or zig-zag form, a slider (S) movable reciprocably along the stringers (11, 12) to couple and uncouple the rows of elements (E) thereon, and a bottom-end-stop assembly (15) comprising a socket (16) attached to the stringer (11), a socket pin (17) integral with the socket (16) and a guide pin (18) attached to the other stringer (12). The guide pin (18) has an opening (18b) in its thickened upper end (18) for receiving a coupling head (Eb) of a lowermost terminal element (E min ) on the stringer (11) and a pocket (20) in the lower portion of the opening (18b) dimensioned to receive a lower hook portion (Ef) of the terminal element coupling head (Eb) with a tight fit.</p> |
