<p>The present invention relates to a method for formatting the memory of a portable device for memorising consumable units, especially pay parking units, the said portable object being intended to interact with a transfer device controlling the consumption of the said units according to a predetermined, tariff-based parking policy, the said policy comprising at least one consumption tariff according to the day and the place and/or the parking time, characterised in that it consists in encoding the said parking policy according to a hierarchical contextual coding, on at least two levels: - a first level setting out, in a coded way, a list of separate tariffs characteristic of the said policy; - at least one second level describing the consumption logic over time of the said consumable units for each of the said tariffs. <IMAGE></p> |
