A process of preparing 1H-pyrazolo [1,5-b][1,2,4] triazole compounds represented by formula (I): <IMAGE> (I) wherein R and R' are independently hydrogen or a substituent and X is hydrogen or a coupling-off group, comprises subjecting a compound of formula (II) <IMAGE> (II) wherein Y and Z are each substituent groups and n is 0, 1 or 2, to a cyclization reaction.
