PURPOSE:To obtain an image forming device which is small-sized and easily controlled, where failure in pretransfer exposure and the deviation of transfer timing due to a mode change are not caused and by which a distinct color image is expressed. CONSTITUTION:In a color copying machine where transfer and fixing are performed after toner images are successively superposed every time a photosensitive drum 1 is rotated and plural toner images are superposed on the drum 1, a transfer material is carried from a paper supply tray by a feeding roller before linear velocity is switched from an ordinary mode to another mode, and the pretransfer exposure is performed before the linear velocity is switched from the ordinary mode to another mode in the case of an OHP mode and a glossing mode. |
