PURPOSE:To transmit plural files at high speed from a server for managing the files to nodes by starting file transmission when file distribution request signals are received from nodes at a prescribed rate to the number of all the nodes. CONSTITUTION:This network is composed of a server (a) provided with a means to transmit files and a means to hold the plural kinds of files, plural nodes to request required files to this server and to receive the files, and transmission system to connect these server and nodes and to be provided with a function for multi-address communication from the server to the nodes. The file transmission is not started until the number of file distributing requests reaches the prescribed rate to the number of all the nodes (such as beta=0.6, for example.) Namely, in this example, the file transmission is started at time 2 when the file distributing request signals are received from nodes N1 and N2. For the selecting system of files, files F1-F4 are selected at time 2, 6, 9 and 11, and the processing is completed at time 15.
