PURPOSE:To obtain the optical recording medium guaranteed by maintaining secure information recording performance even after repeated regeneration cycles by using a combination of a photochromic material of diarylethene derived acid anhydride and a polycarbonate binder. CONSTITUTION:This optical recording medium 1 has a recording film 3 on a transparent base plate 2 and recording light is projected usually from the transparent base plate 2 to record in the film 3. This recording film 3 contains a combination of the diarylethene derived acid anhydride as the photochromic material and the polycarbonate resin as the binder, thus permitting color developing reaction by irradiation with a mixture of recording light and erasing light to cause phenomenon having no temperature dependency at <=140 deg.C in parts not yet recorded, therefore, occurrence of conventional coloring problems is prevented, even if regeneration of the parts not yet recorded is repeated by setting a mixing ratio of the regenerating light so as to regulate the temperature rise of the parts not yet recorded to <=140 deg.C. |
