PURPOSE:To execute the processing to a data base with updated definition information even at the time of updating definition information in the period from start of a program to opening of the data base. CONSTITUTION:A re-expansion register part 4 discriminates whether definition information is updated or not in accordance with expansion/non-expansion of definition information to a definition information storage area 2 and the update report from a storage unit defining part 6. If judging that definition information is updated by the storage unit defining part 6 after expansion of definition information to the definition information storage area 2, the re- expansion register part 4 registers information, which indicates re-expansion of definition information to the definition information storage area 2, in the definition information storage area 2. In accordance with this information registered in the definition information storage area 2, a data base processing part 3 starts a definition information expanding part 5 to expand updated definition information stored in a definition definition information storage file 8 in the definition information storage area 2.
