PURPOSE:To obtain an inhibitor of gastric acid secretion comprising a proteose peptone component 8F or its analog as an active ingredient, having inhibiting action on gastric acid secretion and administrable for a long period without any side effects. CONSTITUTION:The objective inhibitor of gastric acid secretion comprises a proteose peptone component 8F, collected from a kappa-casein glycomacropeptide(GMP) fraction obtained by using a raw milk, skim milk, whey, etc., of a mammal such as a human, cattle or sheep as a raw material and having an amino acid sequence of formula I or its analog (a casein phosphopeptide having an amino acid sequence of formula II) as an active ingredient. Furthermore, this inhibitor as an antiulcer agent is preferably orally ingested in a daily dose of 0.01-1mg/kg for an adult male. |
