METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE ON WATERPROOF SHEET

PURPOSE:To provide a method for forming a sharp image having durability on a waterproof sheet substrate such as a sheet substrate difficult in surface printing or a sheet substrate practically unusable because of the low close bonding force of ink. CONSTITUTION:A waterproof sheet substrate wherein a resin layer with light transmissivity of 30% or more having permeability to a sublimable or evaporative dye is provided on at least one surface of base cloth composed of a fiber dyeable with the sublimable or evaporative dye is brought into contact with the original picture drawn using the sublimable or evaporative dye and a dye impermeable cover is further superposed on the surface opposite to the contact surface of the substrate and, thereafter, the whole is heated to sublime or evaporate the dye to form image on the waterproof sheet substrate.
