PURPOSE:To eliminate occurrence of clogging etc., in a head nozzle in ink jet printing by compounding a specified reactive dye in an aqueous medium contg. thioglycol and a specified org. solvent. CONSTITUTION:An ink 21 for ink jet printing is prepd. by compounding 5-30wt.% reactive dye having monochlorohydrazine group and/or vinylsulfone group in an aqueous medium contg. 1-50wt.% thioglycol (A) and 2-45wt.% org. solvent (B) selected from a group consisting of 2-4 mer of oxyethylene, 2-4 mer of oxypropylene, mono-or di-alkyl ether of 2-4 mer of oxyethylene having a 1-4C alkyl group and mono-or di-alkyl ether of 2-4 mer of oxypropylene having a 1-4C alkyl group. The ink 21 in contact with the heating region (n) of a heating head 15 is ejected to be small drops 24 from an orifice 22. |
