Helmet with articulated and lockable visor including a front opening (3) capable of being closed off by a transparent screen or visor (4) which can be displaced between an open position and a closed position via means for articulation and locking with respect to the helmet (1), characterised in that the visor (4) includes a circling element (5) forming a reinforcement arranged at least partially over its periphery and capable of constituting both the means for mechanical holding of the visor (4), means for geometric repositioning, an interface between the said visor (4) and the means (12, 13, 14) of articulation and an interface between the said visor (4) and the locking means (17, 18).
