PURPOSE:To directly obtain ethylcycloalkanes by reacting ethylene with cycloalkanes in the coexistence of a specific catalyst and a salt of a peroxy acid. CONSTITUTION:Ethylene is made to react with cycloalkanes in the coexistence of a nickel-based catalyst, preferably Ni(O2CCH3)2 and/or a cobalt-based catalyst, preferably Co(O2CCH3)2 and a salt of a peroxy acid, e.g. potassium peroxydisulfate at 0-200 deg.C temperature under 1-50atm pressure to afford the objective ethylcycloalkanes. |
