Composite panels made by supporting a slab of insulating material with insert spacers which prevent its displacement/flotation within the cavity while a rigid jacket is cast about it. Pref. channels or recesses on the face of the core key its cast jacket; pref. ribs/channels along the edges of the cast jacket enable adjacent slabs to be self locating in use.
