<p>A knitted hose (e.g. stockings, tights) passes in an air flow along a suction tube and the end of the hose leaving in the suction tube is held, pref. in a nozzle to which a suction is applied, so that the trailing part of the hose is then blown from the end of the suction tube and straightened by the air flow. The nozzle is then lowered to deposit the hose over a conveyor and as the nozzle is lowered a rotary valve is rotated to connect the nozzle to a pressure air source so that the end of the hose is blown out of the nozzle and released. The hose is full straightened out without damage.</p> |
