<p>The present invention relates to the field of sport and leisure pursuits, by fitting a motorisation system on a conventional snowboard, making it possible to practise this sport on snow-covered areas other than alpine ski pistes (runs). The snowboard (4) has had a caterpillar track (5) fitted, which caterpillar track turns around two cylinders (6 and 7) mounted on ball bearings; after having actuated the handle (11) for the gases, the motor (9) drives the caterpillar track (5) by means of a belt (8) which actuates the cylinder (7).
