The gasket is of metal-reinforced and impregnated soft material and its combustion chamber apertures in the fillet area are connected to one another on one side. The border arms (5,6) on their touching ends (9) are connected to one another, using welding, adhesion and/or soldering. The border arm ends in the fillet area run in a straight line so that they touch one another on a line. The border arms enclose a fillet platelet (10) located on the gasket in the fillet area (4). The contact point of the fillet platelet ends is arranged on the opposite side of the gasket to that of the border arm ends. USE/ADVANTAGE - A cylinder head gasket which has a longer working life even under extreme loads.
