Installed in an opening in a flat roof are two spaced apart glass window panes (4,5) and immediately below the bottom pane (5) is a stretched metal mesh layer (2). The metal mesh is secured by a peripheral frame (3) matching the size of the glazing. The edges of the metal mesh are gripped by the frame so that it is held in tension as close as possible to the bottom pane, being secured to the edges of the bottom pane. The frame can be secured adhesively and forms a unit with the bottom pane. USE/ADVANTAGE - The whole forms a safe, easily installed glazing unit, particularly in sealed unit.
