<p>PURPOSE:To reduce the difference between the speed in a previously recorded part and the speed in a newly and connectively recorded part at the starting point of recording even when a signal is recorded with a recording and reproducing device with the insufficient accuracy. CONSTITUTION:At the time of recording the signal in a magnetic tape 1, PCM data is inputted in a signal processing circuit 7, an error correcting code is added to the signal and digital data is given to a recording amplifier 6. The magnetic tape 1 is once traveled in the reproducing state and a reproducing speed detection circuit 13 detects the recording speed of the previously recorded signal and stores the value in a recording speed memory means 20. Then, the signal in the recording speed memory means 20 is given to a motor control circuit 16 and the PCM data is recorded at the same speed as the bit rate of the previously recorded data.</p> |
