<p>PURPOSE:To provide a compact electronic equipment which uses a compact AC adaptor of low output by using the firmware to control a battery charging control circuit and the luminance control circuit of a display device. CONSTITUTION:A system control circuit 2 transmits the luminance set by a user to a power control circuit 1 as a command. The circuit 1 controls the luminance of a display device 7 to a level set by the user via a display luminance varying circuit 6. At the same time, the circuit 1 also controls the input of a charging control circuit 3 and varies the charging current of a battery. In such a constitution, the electric energy obtained by an AC adaptor is comparatively small. Furthermore an AC adaptor of low output can be used at its maximum for an electronic equipment containing a display of large power consumption with proper variation of the battery charging value and the display luminance.</p> |
