PURPOSE:To properly record information on various kinds of optical disks. CONSTITUTION:The reflectance of the optical disk 1 being the detected result of a DC amplifier 13, a linear velocity being the detected result of a linear velocity detection part 14, a recording pit length being the detected result of an edge detection part 15, recording power being the detected result of a recording power detection part 16 and ambient temperature at a recording time being the detected result of an ambient temperature detection part 17 are stored in a memory 19, respectively, and a state where the error ratio and the jitters of a regenerative signal is little are stored in the memory 19 finally regarding as an optimum condition. A signal is recorded based on information indicating the optimum condition. Thus, since the optimum condition is obtained always even when various kinds of main causes at a recording time such as ambient temperature, etc., fluctuate, the proper pits for respective optical disks are formed easily. |
